Traditional networks usually operate on per-box basis. Human factor impact on this monolithic network is huge. Instead of focusing on business objectives operational team is burdened with UNIs, VLANs, BGP, ACLs, OSPF and so on and so forth. Complexity of network operations prevents network agility and flexibility. On the eve of digital era and even in the very beginning of it a network operator has no opportunity to provide "one click" on demand resorce allocation.
